How are drivers verified?

Depends who's driving. Parent drivers in your bubble are School-Verified (confirmed by their child's school) or ID-Verified (driving licence + admission letter, checked automatically) — either way, verification renews annually. Independent operators and cab drivers go further: a full enhanced DBS check on top, run and renewed by KinOrbit directly.

What's the difference between a bubble and a ride?

A bubble is your trusted group — the families you've vetted and agreed to share journeys with. A ride is a single trip that group takes together: the school run on Tuesday, football practice on Thursday. One bubble, as many rides inside it as your families need.

Is this just for the school run, or clubs and activities too?

Any regular commute works — school, football practice, music lessons, tutoring, Saturday clubs. They all live inside the same bubble, each as its own ride on the calendar.

What if a driver cancels last minute?

The app instantly notifies you and attempts to re-match with another verified driver in your bubble — with plenty of warning before school.

Is there a cost to join?

Yes, but the first 1,000 families get a full term free, and keep it free for two more terms just by telling us how the run's going. After that, Orbit Family is £7.99/mo (paid annually) with unlimited trips. Orbit Plus — our hands-off tier with vetted independent drivers — is coming soon at £14.99/mo.
